EDUC340 Adult Learning Theory (3 semester hours)

This course provides students with a foundation in theoretical and practical aspects of adult learning. The course begins with comparing and contrasting adult learning (andragogy) to learning among children and adolescents (pedagogy). Examination of various theorists, theories, and practitioners; technology integration rationales; and application of theories to practice in online, face-to-face, and hybrid environments prepares students to plan, teach, and evaluate adult learning.
