CSCI311 Network Security Fundamentals (3 semester hours)

This is an advanced course in networking and requires students to have in-depth knowledge of the 7 layers of the ISO/OSI model. The course starts with an overview of IP addressing and subnetting. A significant amount of time will be spent on routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, and security issues with each of these protocols is discussed. Other topics covered in this class will include, but are not limited to, traffic engineering, multi-path routing, and segmentation.
